Davis Love III – Founder
The game of golf has been central to Davis’ life. He literally grew up around the game and later honed his skills as an All-American golfer at the University of North Carolina. Davis’ amateur career culminated with his selection to the 1985 Walker Cup team. He has racked up 20 career PGA Tour victories, including multiple wins at prestigious events like The Players Championship, AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am, and the Verizon Heritage. He also won the 1997 PGA Championship, and is firmly established as one of the all-time money leaders on the PGA Tour.
Consistently hailed as one of the most popular and recognizable players in professional golf and a true gentleman of the sport, Davis’ reputation for integrity and his respect for the game have earned him trust among colleagues and fans alike.
Davis has a special talent for golf, but he also has a deep respect and passion for the game. A protector and promoter for the game’s rules and etiquette, his study of golf’s history and traditions have led him to long-term interests outside of tournament golf, including course design and management.
Mark Love – Founder
Mark is the younger of the two brothers and found his own path in the game of golf. Similar to Davis, Mark was an accomplished junior player and even joined Davis briefly on the same golf team at the University of North Carolina. Mark later finished his college career closer to home at Valdosta State University, graduating with a degree in Business Administration.
He became one of the first golf instructors at the Sea Island Golf Learning Center, and in 1991 he and Davis teamed up as player/caddie on the PGA Tour. Their partnership was an instant success, with Davis winning five events in Mark’s first year on the bag. Together they have claimed over ten victories, highlighted by the 1997 PGA Championship at Winged Foot.
Their partnership continued when Davis and Mark entered the golf course design business where Mark currently serves as President. Love Golf Design has designed over 20 successful golf courses in the United States and abroad. Their most recent design, Diamante Golf Club in Cabo San Lucas, MX was named “”Best New International Design”” by Golf Magazine in 2010.
Greg Nesbitt – Principal
A member of the PGA of America since 1991, Greg has worked in club management for nearly two decades. He has also served as Chief Operating Officer of a regional golf management firm, directing and managing the entire operations of ten private and/or semi-private facilities located across five states.
While overseeing each general manager and golf course superintendent at all managed facilities, Greg ensures that corporate objectives, policies, programs and fiscal management are implemented, administered and maintained.
Out of his passion for the golf industry, Greg was instrumental in forming Love Golf Management. The company will take on a limited number of clients, opting to work with clubs that share its focus on tradition, integrity and honesty. Greg will never take the cookie-cutter approach to management, choosing instead to custom-tailor the management services to the needs of each facility.

Over the years, he has been instrumental in the developing and opening of eight master-planned courses and has also directed the financial accounting activities of over twenty different golf facilities across the Eastern United States.
In addition, Scott was responsible for overseeing all corporate financial and accounting services. Scott will take an active role with each one of Love Golf Management’s clients, helping set financial strategy as well as implementing the best processes and procedures to carry out those strategies.
